As far the informations given by a source from airtel, he states tat the iphone costs around 31,000 in india. He also states that the iphone ll be available only to post paid customers. We have no information abt the 3g iphone for prepaid customers. its foolish to buy an iphone for 31000 and pay monthly amount for the data plans. we have to raise our opinions to apple about the brutal behaviour of the Bharti Airtel about its approach to the customers on sellin the iphone.

airtel should know wat happened to the rogers provider in canada, as we all the iphone lovers we should fight with our pals to get iphone for prepaid clients also.

accordin the sources inside from bharti airtel

3g iphone costs - 31000 + monthly post paid bill + data plan ..

totally its a very hefty price put up on the shoulders of the indian iphone lovers.

it comes almost $738.. but in france the unlocked phone is sold less than the price quoted here. the only thing we can do is to wait for the official announcement on the price and tariff and raise our voices and opinions to apple if the prices are hefty.

wake up iphone lovers in india.. we are the fools to pay heft amount for nothin.. we dont have 3g connectivity.. etc etc..

some one has to put up petition to the apple if the above related tariff’s and details are true..
we can achieve this if we fight as a group.. comments are welcome..

(Updated with additional countries) The iPhone 3G will be launched in five more countries on August 22nd, according to announcements. India’s Bharti Airtel, the Czech Republic’s Telefonica, Estonia’s EMT, Romania’s Orange and the Philippines’ Globe Telecom have all revealed that the iPhone will ship domestically by the end of the month. Only GT has announced any official pricing plans, but details for the other carriers are expected later through their official websites.

Vodafone is set to be a second carrier of the iPhone in India, but has yet to declare a release date. Unfortunately, India does not yet have a fully operational 3G network, so carriers in India will not be able to offer the full features of the iPhone.

The iPhone 3G is currently being sold in 22 countries, and with these five additional launches, Apple moves closer to its goal of bringing the iPhone 3G to 70 countries by the end of the year.

Update: Poland, Hungray and several Latin American countries will also see the iPhone 3G launched on August 22nd. Poland will have two carriers release the device, Orange and Era. While in Hungary, T-Mobile has won the exclusive rights to sell the device. America Movil announced that it will be launching the iPhone 3G in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay.
